Nasqueron Dwellers
Iain (M.) Banks really thinks them up doesn't he? These guys, the Nasqueron Dwellers, from 'The Algebraist' have got to be the weirdest aliens ever. A double cartwheel with a cartiligenous band of flesh connecting them, and wee handies sticking out the side of the cartwheels. Shiiiit, that's totally freaky!!!! I want to draw a picture of my mental picture, coming soon.

eg: Thomas Covenant in 'The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant' by Stephen Donaldson - no he is really Terry Nutkin who used to do the Really Wild Show on UK kids' TV!
I would welcome postings from people with their own mental pictures of book characters, sci-fi or otherwise!
